Training and Tuition September / October

Fridays once per Month – Dressage clinics with Andrew Day (every 4 weeks – September and beyond) via one of our members offering places to other WVRC members. One to one sessions from 8am to 1pm – £45. To be held at Bramshott Chase, nr Hindhead. Call 07872 443577 for details. Andrew started his equestrian career as a three-day event rider, but since turning to dressage has trained to Grand Prix level. He enjoys training riders and horses of any level from rising to the trot to piaffe!

Sun 12th September and 3rd October  - Gridwork with Lesley Hill

At Lesley’s yard, Linchmere near Liphook. Lesley can do ‘Mix n’ Match’ sessions to suit every individual’s needs. Members can choose flatwork, polework, gridwork, or nice n’ easy jumping. Please inform Clare May of your preferences when booking. Sessions cost £15 for a one on one 30 min lesson, or £15 each for 2 people sharing for an hour session. The sessions are held in a 60 x 20m all-weather surfaced arena with mirrors. Booking via Clare May

Friday 17th September – Grassroots Dressage training with Lisa Hamilton focusing on ”Scales of Training in Practice” – Waterside, Passfield.

£25 for a 40 minute individual lesson – Waterside, Passfield (TBC).

Lisa is superb at explaining things and making things possible. She is enthusiastic and encouraging and you are guaranteed to leave with a sense of achievement.

Saturday 18th September – Dressage with Caroline Sparks, Parklands,  Farm, Snailing Lane, Greatham, Gu33 6HQ

45 minute individual sessions, £45.

Caroline started her dressage career at 17 training on the continent and competed internationally within her first year travelling on teams to competitions all over Europe. On returning to England she won a scholarship to train with Ferdi Eilberg and was a member of theYoung Riders Team representing GB at two European Championships. She also held the title of British Young Rider Champion.She then moved on to represent GB at  Senior Internationals and has trained and competed horses up to and including Grand Prix. She currently has two competition horses of her own.

Saturday 9th October– Grassroots Show Jumping with Vanessa Lawes at Chase Farm

£33 for an individual 45 minute lesson / £23 for a shared 45 minute lesson. Held at Chase Farm, Hindhead.

After a very successful first clinic Vanessa is back to hold another grassroots show jumping session. Everyone is welcome, whether you have never jumped before, haven’t jumped for years or have had a break from jumping. Booking Via Storme Whittaker.

Sunday 10 th October – Ride a test clinic and general dressage clinic with Katie James

£32 for a 45 minute individual lesson held at Waterside, Passfield TBC

Why not take this opportunity to practice a tricky test in a relaxed and encouraging situation? Or just brush up your skills and take some schooling tips away to try at home. Please specify which test you would like to ride. Booking via Storme Whittaker.
